I Can't Grow A Beard

I can’t grow a beard

I can’t drive a car and I can’t buy smokes

I can’t roll dice and I can’t eat soap

I can’t buy mags and I can’t see nudies

I can’t hear songs and I can’t watch movies.

I can’t grow a beard

I have to be at school and I have to be at work

I have to wear pants and I have to go to church

I have to vape in class but they say no vapin'

I have to do homework and I have to pray to Satan.

I can’t grow a beard

But I can measure

that loving one another is the greatest treasure

You can't grow a beard, this I know. It brings me great sorrow. Yet, even with your debilitating life condition, you perservere. It's an impressive feat. Even more impressive that, given your condition, you qualify that love is a great treasure--the greatest treasure-- of all, where I know it's difficult for a beardless man such as yourself to fight off hate swelling in your heart.
