I can't live without it because it saved my life
It makes you feel whole again when you could have sworn that you had been tipped over like a glass with everything in you spilling out onto the floor for the world to see and step in without really noticing.
It makes you realize that you’re still alive when before you spent hours upon hours staring into the bathroom mirror trying to find something familiar in the two black holes staring emptily back at you.
It makes you get out of bed earlier than two in the afternoon to walk outside and finally notice the true beauty of the sunflowers that your mom had planted months ago as an attempt to bring you back to her.
It makes you see that your bones hadn’t really shattered when your body collapsed on the ground and laid there until someone forced you to get up and go through the motions of life one meaningless day at a time.
It makes you regret the marks that you left on your own body as an attempt to feel and do something instead of living life as the empty shell of someone who once was.
Love. It makes you realize that you’re worth something and that you don’t deserve to feel unwanted and left alone because in reality you’re so more important than you think.
