I Can't Live Without You
the aura you emit is unsettling(i can feel the fragility when i hold your hand)but i am partly to blame so i no longer judge(the uneasiness in the air makes me feel like a seasick sailor but i will be stranded in a sea of uncertainties for us]
i want to embrace you(although you might crack] but i do not want to ruin what we have with an admittedly cold(on a good day lukewarm)embrace where you cannot decipher its intentions
ive fallen into old habits(they say they die hard but admittedly ive never tried to kill mine) you tell me you can no longer tell if i love you(this is where you start to splinter)
that my indifference interrupts the interconnections we made on this plane of existence
(but what can i tell you? how can i explain that your discomfort saddens me and i cannot express it? that my cold is how i express my warm- that my indifference was inherited and taught to me as the only way to show that i love you?
(what is my body but a vessel to hold my love? i have contained it so much i emit an aura of ambiguity when asked[do you do you really love me]
(but hell has froze over which means there is nothing left to fear and my hands admittedly cold[i will wear gloves if you can no longer bear it] will encase your hands[carefully i do not want to fragment yours])
but alas i still feel the uneasiness(and my vagueness concerns you) i cannot simply express how sorry i am(i have hurt you[myself in an effort to protect both of us from each other) you deserve someone who wears their heart on their sleeve(and all over their face) but i can only say love in the language of blank stares, shrugs, and poetry you'll never hear.
