I Can't Think of Anything
I don't like my emotions!
They rattle around in my head.
Jarred whispers shake my soul
to its core.
Echoing the agony of butterflies
in my stomach
longing to be with you.
Woops!
That wasn't supposed to come out,
not that quickly.
Time may heal all wounds
but will these feelings
wrangled like a lasso around my heart ever leave my aorta alone
its being suffocated with what you call love and admiration
but all I choose to see is the infatuation
And my breaths are like run-on sentences
waiting for you to shut them up with a
kiss.
But my mind rationalizes these things
and says,
"No dear, just a childish whim you hold too closely,
there cannot be such a thing for you."
