I care, and why

I care, and Why

by Henry Rude

You text me all day.

What is going on right now?

I would like to know.

He says "I love you"

Beats and bruises, scars and slaps

These say otherwise.

Don't stay with that man

Attacks and apology

Wrongs don't make a right

"I love you" means "leave"

Leave him and be with us friends

We will not attack.

We can have a blast

Out on the town, anything

You should get away

I know this will hurt

But one thing you should know

"I love you" means "leave
