i carry you by: K.J Hoover

i carry your criticism with me (i carry it like a backpack) i am never without it

(anywhere i go it goes. whatever happens to me is your doing, my dear.)

i fear nothing (for you made me nothing) i want more (for you told me more was not possible)

and it’s you that haunts me like the moon haunts the night, and it’s you that burned me like the sun,

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the splinter, the infection,

the heart of my pain, which grows worse than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is that makes heroes and villains, what keeps them apart

i carry your criticism, (i carry it in my heart)
