i like chess

I like chess. The pieces. The strategy And the thinking. Chess lets me take my time on something Without being told to hurry. Chess lets me concentrate on the objective of the game. Winning. It gives me a chance to be silent And to think of the decisions I’m about to make. There are two teams in the game. The black team and the white team. There are 6 different pieces With their own types of moves and rules. The king, the queen, the bishop, The knight, the rook, and the pawns. The king can move one square per turn. Might not do much. But when it makes a move it makes a big impact on the game It’s also the most important chessmen in the game. Because if it gets checked mated, then the game is over. And you loose. The queen is one of the best chess pieces in the game. It can move to the left and right. Up and down. And diagonally. It’s limitless, until it has to block the king. Then its weak. The bishop moves smoothly around the chessboard. It can slither diagonally through pieces That other pieces can’t do that Without having to take out an enemy piece. The knight is loyal piece. It strikes without letting you know. It moves in form of an L. And it has a face of a horse. It can also jump over other pieces. The rook is a strong piece. It can move up and down And also to the sides. Towards the end of the game it turns more powerful and takes control of the game. It can move from one side of the board to the other in a turn. The pawns are small little soldiers. They are most likely to die for their superiors. They don’t give up until their all taken out. They might be called useless, until they get the other side of the chess board. After that they can turn into another chess piece. They can only move forward. On their first move they can move one to two squares. After that it’s only one square per turn. Chess is such a strategic game. And a fun game. I’m not obsessed with it. I’m not good at it. But I like chess.
