I Choose to Speak Not

Location

We are all sweet
Sometimes sour
But time’s done changed, so is the hour
So I choose to not to speak
Because my
Mouth’s a double-edged sword
Cutting deeper than Sasaki’s sword
My word’s world is full of wildflowers

I have let my blade bleed me and others
Let my emotions send me and them dead letters
Inflict torturous pain
Settle in sych and hope to find love again
But times have changed
So I choose not to hide my hurt
I choose to seal the walls of my mouth with silence
Block the deadly tsunami from coming out my throat
And allow my head nod in no or yes
