i chose her
Consider time and what it means, for me it means so much,
The history of where we've been, the experiences we touch,
To look back, to what has past, to what has been and gone,
Can bring a smile, sometimes a tear, for all the things we've done,
But looking back and feeling sad is not the way my friend,
Cos history has made us, this message I do send,
To anyone who reads this, who know these words are true, my message here is simple, my message is for you,
That yesterday is history, and that is in the past,
Tomorrow is a mystery, we find that answer last,
Today is our gift, that's why it's called the present,
Each day, when that gifts open, just
take it as it's meant,
It's meant to bring us hope, a fresh start to a new day,
The strength we need to get through, to help us on our way,
It's easy just to give up, to say that I am beat,
That's not the way to live life, that's not the way to treat,
This precious gift that's given to us each and every day,
That gift that's given to us, so unconditionally,
So what right do any of us have to fail to live and love,
To turn away the gift, the gift of mothers love,
The mother who gave life to each and everyone,
And I for one am proud to say, I chose to be her son!
