Before I Close My Eyes by: Jaay Dee Kayy

Before you lay me down to rest,

Remember when times were at best,

When we were happy, never stressed,

And love was almost never pressed;

Remember before I close my eyes,

To this temporary life,

I'm grateful for HIS sacrifice,

And I love peace more than I love strife;

Be reminded at my time of passing,

That grudge is temporary and love is everlasting,

I'll love you even when the trumpet's blasting,

Before I close my eyes.

Since the age of 13, I have had undying passion for music, poetry, and all forms of writing. At 22, I reflect and build from these times. I hope you can take the time to dive into my psyche. It's a wild ride, I promise.
