I come from

I come from the digital age, where I can find out everything about a person with just a few clicks and it’s not stalking.

I come from a place where it’s okay if politicians send a few racy pics to young women.

I come from a place where being a feminist is shameful.

I come from modern day America, where we have yet to have a female president and women are perceived as ungrateful because we demand equal pay.

I come from a place of FOX NEWS, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, Democracy now, and not being sure of what to believe or who is telling the truth.

I come from a place where news from overseas always more important that the news here.

I come from a place where everyone blames the President and everything is a government conspiracy.

I come from a place where everything we see is a façade and everything we’re told is a lie.

I come from a place where you don’t vote for the person you think is the best candidate, you vote along party lines or for the one who embezzled the least amount of money.

I come from a place where young people don’t vote because they have lost their faith in government.

I come from a place where it’s difficult to make your own path.

I come from the generic majority where everyone is closed minded.

I come from a place where people are put into boxes and stay there.

I come from a place where you are either successful or unsuccessful, there is no in between.

I come from a place where society determines how successful you really are.

I come from the land of opportunity.
