I Confess

I confess

To the sins that you have imposed on me

I believe

One sided views you have forced me to see

I laugh

At the thought of there being any other way

I cry

Because I know it’s a lie

I smile

Before you can have the chance to find fault in my actions

I am silenced

Into your world of a suffocating love

I walk

With the confidence that has been built from fear

I talk

With the charms of a misguided youth

I caress

The frame which you gave me as a reminder

I am

What you create me to be

A puppet

A Doll

A mannequin

Filled with shallow beliefs

Smiling all the while
