I Could Write

I could write

For my whole life

Without stopping once
I could write forever
If my fingers would ne’er

Grow weary
I could write endlessly

If I had an unlimited
Supply of ideas
I could write for hours upon hours
If there were no need for food

Or water or sleep
But they do
I don’t
And there is
So I cannot In fact

Write for my whole life.
