I couldn't fix her

I couldn't fix her; but I tried my hardest.

I tried to be the one she went to when she was down

I  reassured her that she was a good mom

She didn't believe me

So consumed with the darker version of herself in her own head she was blinded

She turned to the bottle as her sanctuary, her way to escape reality

The bottle almost took her away from me

6 1/2 drives every other weekend for an 8 hour visit

Watching her in rehab was like watching a tiger in a cage

She was healing, but hurting

She came home

One day later she relapsed.

I tried to fix her

She went to jail

I couldn't fix it anymore

January 19, 2018: 60 days sober

Court case, the plantiff dropped most the charges

She is a full time college student and mom

She is happier

I couldn't fix her

She fixed herself
