I couldn't have it

The hardest part of walking away

was knowing that they weren't coming back

And when it was over

I had never wanted something so bad in my life

I thought I would die without it

And it was the one thing I was willing to give up everything for

And I couldn't have it

So I let the pain sink in

I could feel it clawing at my throat

I didn't know how to handle it

So I let it fester until there was nothing left

Just empty space

And I was no more
