I Cry
I cry
Because of a little five year old girl,
Tossed off a bridge,
By her own father.
Who didn't care.
Didn't want her.
Didn't love her.
I cry
Because of her shock.
Her scream.
Her fear,
Of suddenly falling without being caught.
Falling.
Flailing.
Helpless.
Terrified.
Unable to stop.
As she plummeted,
Falling,
Into the water.
No one to save her.
To hold her.
To catch her.
But as I cry,
I see an angel,
The fastest of all,
Swoop in to save her,
From that terrible fall.
Race down to catch her,
To soothe her fears.
Before carrying her away,
To a place with no tears.
No more tears,
No more fears,
No more falling away.
But where she's eternally caught
In His loving embrace.
