I Didn't Ask
I didn't ask for this misfortune,
Wont let them see me cry,
But somebody as sensitive,
As me would question why.
Why am I so fretful?
Why dont they abide?
To the set of regulations,
Designed to give me peace of mind.
I didn't ask for this betrayal,
From people i dont know.
Never took the time to learn me.
Oppression is their chore,
Land of the free?
Home of the Brave?
But I feel quite constricted,
And im very afraid.
I didn't ask to be there.
Im in such disarray.
I sat in solemn silence.
As the others joke and played.
