I Didn't Know
I didn't know addiction could make me feel this way
I didn't know something so wrong couldn't be kept at bay
I didn't know I wouldn't forget that bright star ridden sky
I didn't know I wouldn't unsee a hunger in your eye
I didn't know a voice, warm, gravely and deep
I didn't know soft lips, and the secrets they could keep
I didn't know what strong hands felt when tangled in my hair
I didn't know that ecstasy diminished every care
I didn't know I couldn't forget lusts taste upon my tongue
I didn't know I'd cling so fast to feeling forever young
I didn't know what kind of world saying yes would thrust me into
I didn't know that I could be addicted to someone like you
