I Do Apologize

I might not be the most popular person that ever passed,

 but I do apologize.

I might not be the most quiet person in class,

and yes, I do apologize.

I disrupt your tedious lecture for a few cheap laughs,

 yet again, I do apologize.

For you was once young too, and though that may seem like centuries ago, you too have had to been in my shoes.

High school, as we all know is full of rules.

Where to sit, who to talk to, what social group you are destined to belong to?

I  too have been guilty of discriminating against my fellow peers,

   and I do apologize.

But now it have become very clear that those rules are something we have no right to authorize.

Who died and made you king of the hall just because you can play football?

Is the Valedictorian not someone to look up to?

They study, long and hard, to achieve good grades,

and what do you do?

Oh , you shot a game winning 3? Returned a serve while down on one knee? Beat an opponent 76 to 3?

I am also guilty of this treason too, and I send my deepest apologies to you.

I'm not perfect by no means, but I do plan to do the best that I can.

And until then, until I am through agologizing I will continue to be the unperfect person I am,

and for that dear Lord I do sincerely apologize.
