A teen made his parents a Christmas gift

He didn’t waste money or time in line at store

But still manage to lift their spirit

He made a video

Without the use of his voice

He told them his epic

He wasn’t mute or deaf but his message seek power that emotion wouldn’t allow

So he wrote it

On little white index cards

Nothing ornate, just plain white cards and this is what made him a hero

He name is Ben Breedlove

He was born with a heart condition

That causes his family to live in fear that any day, he might pass on

Because of this fear, he wasn’t allow to do what others did

And never enjoy that “YOLO” feeling

Reality set in the first time he cheated death

He was four

Didn’t remember much but

Getting wheeled down the hall on a stretcher

Smiling uncontrollable,

At a light that shined so bright In such a dark time

Wanting to share his euphoria with his mom

But this show was just for him

As he pull though to see another day

He went into surgery to have a pacemaker placed to regulated heart beat

For the first time he could truly enlace himself in a typical teen life

He hanged with friends and even was the go to guy

YouTube famous, living a desirable life

As he allow the thoughts of simplicity to comfort him

Complication lurked in

The summer of 2011

He fell into cardiac arrest undergoing a typical tonsils removal

As death waited in the waiting room

He went to the euphoria he experience once before

As once more, himself and family face his death again

While walking down the hall he fainted

Waking up in the Pedi Medic

Once a fainting, revived by shock pad

As he twice before he had a place of comfort

He slipped into the his world,

his euphoria once more

Not sure of this dream or vision before him as

Standing in a white room

Dressing in a white suit

Kid Cudi standing beside him as

They groove to one of his favorite tunes, Mr. Rager

As they sing, “When will the fantasy end?

When will the heaven begin?”

Words was spoken and he came to cheating death for the three time

Started his third YouTube channel titled, “TotalRandomness512”

With his only video entitled “This is My Story.”

Helping teens to see that we all have a story

As the song played in the back, saying enlarge our world.

An challenge to enlarger your mind

On December 25, 2011

He died by cardiac arrest

In the video he asked,

“Do you believe in Angels or God?”

My repsonse?

I DO.

I do believe because simple people like you

People who are faced with permanent hardship but yet still smile everyday.

Allow me to say that I will survive and fumble along my way

because when I hear a story like this one

I Do,

because I’ll witness him in my world too.
