I Don't Always Know

I love you

But it doesn’t always show.

I love you

But you may not always know.

I don’t always see your clothing

Because your beauty’s in my eye

And emotions make me awkward

Because it hurts me when you cry.

I don’t always know just what you need,

But I want to do things right.

Sometimes I think you're feeling sad

When really you feel fright.

But I’m an honest guy

And it’s honest I will be.

You deserve a life that’s good

Even if it’s not with me.
