I Don't Like Cupcakes

When I was a kid veggies was my greatest enemy
And would have tried to eat anything of sweet.
That's why I went to the parties of friends of me
Mostly for the cupcakes, they were my favorite treat.

 

When I was a kid I wanted to meet
The characters on the screen.
Now that I'm older I hope to greet
Kids who think the same of MY scenes

When I was a kid money was a tool
Just for dollar tree toys and snacks.
Now that I'm older I learned money is cruel
Especially when I learned more about tax.

When I was a kid growing old 
was to be fun and no rules.
Now that I'm older I'm no longer sold.
Being mature and responsible is for fools.

Now that I'm older experience made who I am
Like learning different things, from brownies to yams
The daily steps of life can determan a person's likes and hates
I think the biggest break for me was saying "I don't like cupcakes"

But cheesecake is amazing
