I don't put the norm in normal
I'm not normal
I'm not a normal teenage girl
I don't wear makeup
Or band shirts
I read books
But noting anime
I have naturally curly hair
It's beautiful with out dyes
But anti fizz products help
I never remember to brush my teeth
But I chew gum like it is my tongue
I write poetry but can't spell
I try to avoid love
It's not my strength
I'm not up at 3 am partying
Or reading fanfic
Not even on Netflix anymore!
I'm on goddamn YouTube watching poets spill their hearts
Like I want to spill mine
I don't like pants
Hate skirts more
So it's 3 am I'm not with a boy
Or at a party
I am lying in my bed
just on YouTube
not watching YouTubers
In Canada or Austria
Just poets in NYC
wishing
I could be in the Bowery club
So I'm not a normal teenager
I'm not normal on tumblr standers
I think I'm beautiful
with out the filter
But not beautiful according to society
But that's a whole different poem
I'm my normal
I am a jolly rancher chewy
Hard and cold on the outside
Soft inside
I love all of me
The flaws and the cuts are all me
The flaws don't make me
The perfections don't make me
My mind makes all of me
Because that who I am
And I am not normal
Nor would I want to be.
