I Don't Understand

I don’t understand why adults try to judge teenagers so harshly.

I don’t understand why they act like they don’t understand.

Because weren’t they a teenager too at one point in their life?

I don’t understand why the media WANTS to make girls feel like complete and utter shit about themselves when these exact people use to feel the same way when they were younger.

I don’t understand why adults say that kids have changed since they were in school.

Because in all actuality, the kids haven’t changed at all.

The surroundings, environment, and society has changed.

Kids now are the same as kids were years and years ago.

I don’t understand why it seems that my generation knows more than the older generation.

I don’t understand why it seems that my generation sees the big picture better than the older generation.

I don’t understand why it seems that my generation cares about everything all together more than the older generation.

I don’t understand why it seems that my generation, the millennials, who only know about smart phones and the internet, want to make a change more than the older generation.

It seems that my generation may be the only one capable of it right now.

I really just don’t understand the human race.
