I don't want a House...

I don't want a house Or a treehouse for me and birds I don't need a piece of your heart And half of your pity I don't need family gatherings Talking about politics at the table After we say grace Reveal your new face The floorboards creak and scream And the nails ache in agony Watching the same old dance you perform Over and over again Pop the balloon And cut the chatter We don't need trust served on a chipped up platter We run around with scissors Cutting off angel wings We'll stab each other in the back for the third time today Three bricks from our yellow wall broken The light fixture distracts the mess Expensive chandelier Poor quality friends Stickers become new band-aids So we rip off skin with no soft cotton underneath As we deck each other out in cards We gamble on this thin red line so many times You commit your crime I draw the line And the house is filled with lies
