The I don't want to be "In- Crowd"

The I Don’t want to be “In Crowd”

Designer clothes,

Striking pose

Lips red as a rose.

Long lashes,

camera flashes.

Striking matches.

Cigarette burns,

alcohol yearns.

Menacing glances

intimidating stances

no second chances

and provocative dances.

Staying out late

overnight dates

no worrying about your fate

with an unknown mate

an increase of the birth rate.

Love becomes hate.

Fear of the scale obsessing about your weight.

Is that nose a flaw or just a passed down trait?

You hate the mirror.

Can your reflection be clearer?

Who are you?

Is your self image true?

You walk around proud.

You are the I don’t want to be “in crowd.”
