I don’t miss you anymore

Dad, I am disappointed in you

But dad, I wish I loved you.

You weren’t ever there for me

I tried to wake you up.

You never stood up for me. I always got my hopes up.

Every time you came back, I thought you would stay for good.

But you never did. And it hurt.

On the outside, I acted like I was fine. I was used to being hurt.

But on the Inside,

I wanted to cry. I thought there must be something I can do

to get you to come back.

But you kept leaving. So I let it go.

I stopped crying over you. I don’t get my hopes up anymore.

You should have been there for me.

But you missed your chance.
