I Don’t Say Much
I don’t say much,
but I will let you speak with no end,
and wait until you realize I have not spoken a word,
because I love you so much.
I don’t say much,
but I will hold your hand tight
when you feel undeserving,
when you feel misunderstood,
when you are sad or mad,
I will hold you close until that feeling has passed,
because I know how it feels too need someone,
and also because I love you so much.
I don’t say much
but I will build you up,
I will tear down your self-hate
and replace it with kindness,
I will treat you better than you treat yourself,
and heal the wounds you pick at unconsciously,
I will be your bandaid,
because I love you so much.
I don’t say much,
but I will take every sorrow that you give and relieve,
I will take it all somewhere far far away,
and leave it behind us,
I will give you patience that you need
because I love you so much.
I don’t say much,
but every kiss I place on your lips
and on your body,
is my softness I give to only you alone,
and with each kiss I give a little more passion,
because I love you so much.
I don’t say much,
but I will tell you repeatedly exactly this,
”I love you,”
because I struggle to express my words,
and sometimes actions aren’t enough,
so because I love you so much,
I tell you it everyday.
