I Dream of . . .
I have this picture in my head of you
how you look, how you move
even though I've never seen in, your smile fills me with joy
the depth of love a mother feels when she first sees the smile of her little boy
you would possess the love that I have always craved
a love that I'm scared to find because I'm not yet brave
I've cried and been heartbroken, it's the only feeling I know
the idea of a man who genuinely wants to be my man is something I've never been shown
I'm tired of all the failures
All the screaming, shoving and bad words
I dream of a man who could show me affection
a man that I wouldn't have to beg to for attention
I dream of you
I know you dream of me
you too are looking for the one to call sweetie
i'll find you one day
in the meantime, don't let heartbreak cause your love to stray away.
I love you & always only you.
