i dream often of hands intertwined

i dream often of hands intertwined; nothing quite like

the sound of heartbeats beating to the same drum

a reminder that life lurks under the framework of the human body

but it's not the only part i love

i oft find a smile making its way across my face

almost a whisper of a laugh escaping my throat

jokes, dreams, hopes, fears, inside jokes; everything we talk about

but it's not the only thing i love

i feel like this love is the square root of two; no real answer

just irrational decisions, in an irrational world

but if i had to choose again i'd choose you a million times

over someone that i'd have reason to love

actions are powerful; moreso than words

words are limited, a medium used so often that it loses meaning

a place of comfort in such a long distance yet you feel close

in my heart, in my soul; for them, a new home

change you might, and change you will; yet nothing ever will

deplete my love for you for it shall be you and forever you
