I Dream of Rivers Looking Back

I dream of rivers looking back

At us: a look which will do crack

My face, for all of me is flawed,

And all that’s fair is but façade.

I dream of wind embracing us,

Though in moments cleared of thus,

It drowns my sense in mighty flood

Of which restricts my flow of blood.

I dream of paths of white and pink;

Of sweet perfumes for me to drink;

And I shall sleep by sweetest smell

In all my body that will swell.

I dream of gazing at the stars,

To gaze each other, see what’s ours,

To gaze each other, later find,

That very truly I am blind.

Upon thee is what toys with me:

A beauty that I want to see,

A beauty that I want to drain

Of ev’ry fiber in my brain.

My name is Jade 18 and I am years old. I've been writing for a few years now, as I adore literature and writing. My main inspirations are William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe, with them, I took interest in writing my poems and plays.
