I Dream, yearned, dreampt of

I Dream, yearned, drempt of love.

Although when I awoke it was gone.

Throughout the day it slowly fades,

Until I forget her face.

I'll never have the feeling I do when I dream,

Her cowgirl boots, regret for having lost the first thing I'd gave her,

The way she got along with my friends, how comfortable she was.

All this from one dream.

Where am I?

I'm on a concrete slap getting ready to fall asleep,

Better turn on my fan.
