I Envy Those Who Are Blind

I envy those who are blind.

I envy them because I trust too much in my eyes,

I smile with my eyes,

Converse with thy eyes,

Communicated with thy eyes,

Scream with our eyes

Lust with our eyes,

When does my smile actually become a smile?

When will I finally see the world through omniscient eyes?

You sea I envy those who are blind…..

Because God has a blessed them with an insight

I will never have,

You sea I will I envy those who are blind

Because they are blind to life’s meaningless background noise,

The cliques, the war within, the frivolousness of society,

You sea I envy those who are blind,

Blind but all too aware of the underlying grains of sand that society hides in the tide.

You sea I envy those who are blind,

Because society is the tide and I was the footprint,

You sea I envy those who are blind,

Because it’s so beautiful how the water kisses the shore and then retreats to familiarity,

You sea I envy those who are blind,

No light or darkness seeps in they do not bother with such simple things,

They see higher than the sun and the moon,

Never rushing to get ahead throwing success, richness and wealth out the window, Because death is all too soon.

You sea I envy those who are blind,

Because when the water rushes in towards the footprint and retreats to familiarity,

They have no sense of time and space

Letting death wisp them away with smile on their face.
