I Fall Apart

I fall apart trying to hold on to you.
Feels like every piece of me was closing in on you.
I made you feel like a fool, I’m so sorry for that and
you mixed emotions too.
I didn’t know what I was causing was hurting you too.
I feel terrible for you and everything I said was true
I do still love you.
But you let me down, you let us down and I just had
to leave you that was the only thing left to do.
“I didn’t want to hurt you.”
But I hope we can come clean and tell
each other what we really mean
