I feel trapped Trapped

In a house not called a home In the beginning it was But time passed by You became another person I wasn't allowed to leave The property was big But I wasn't allowed to leave it Expected to clean and cook Take care of the work Had to quit my job Wasn't allowed to even go with family To the store I had to get permission To even have people over I had to ask They weren't allowed inside If a fight broke out I had to sleep on the couch If I wanted to use the restroom Or take a shower The door had to be open Wasn't allowed to make the same food twice I had to clean the house from top to bottom I wasn't allowed to talk to friends And had to act ok around family I was trapped No escape plan To scared to leave I couldn't think for myself You had to be around Stuck on my back like glue Always over my shoulder I was trapped No way out No way out No way out Someone help me Help me please This smile is fake I'm screaming for help I'm dying on the inside I feel trapped I open my eyes A nightmare I see your face The man who treats me right Your worried about me I smile as you wipe away a tear You know how I felt Trapped But with you I no longer feel trapped I'm happy I'm no longer in that relationship And in a relationship with someone who supports me Someone who lets me be me Someone who lets me be free

My work goes with the beat of how I feel to when I remember a memory I want to talk about it to random thoughts
