I Fell Too Quickly

You pushed me down a well,

But didn't leave,

Just stayed staring

Bringing others to help pull me out

But they could do nothing.

I yelled and my problems echoed

My emotions hitting the wall

I could not contain the pain.

God, I felt like the walls were closing in.

Choking me like the love I could not shake,

The love I handed over timidly, but fully.

And you took that trust and let it sink.

Sink to the bottom of a hole!

I thought I could love you forever, 

but it turns out, you wouldn't let me.
