I Fold.

Filters falter and the faulty facade falls away

That’s not part of me, or my story any day

Myself at my truest state is far too instinctive

Distinctive, the instinct bears no incentive

Presented, I am seen calm and collected

The curiosity that turns to doubt is guarded and protected

From the peering eye as I strive and lead

taking great heed to the ideas I hold and seed

to my peers with need

“You are but benevolence [ f [ r [ e ] e ] d ] ”

I touch the reflection and that’s not what I see.

I search my mind for a time unrestrained

uncontained

without refrain

my fears and joys making me seem insane

inane

or innate

to be great, as I’m told.

And I fold.

No not my hand.

but papers

constructing origami augmented with wonders

searching for more of the imaginary to make

to create

to play as the one whose mind is the world

The truth begins to uncurl

just a corner

But now I know it can unfurl.

My Passion is bliss

and mine doesn’t take

It creates!!!

It studies

it searches

it strives

and it learns

Arrogance is a substance that burns

an allergy

to my psyche

Unlike me

Despite recognition that life is exciting

Each day

Inspiring
