I Forgot What Time of Day I Saw It

what happens to a thought

when it is forgotten?

does is float in your brain

knocking on windows,

walls

doors

floorboards

screaming that they're caught on fire

screaming "Help me! Help me!"

They still feel.

They still want, desire

attention from the wind of your breath,

pushing them into an atmosphere full of

ideology

hoping someone will see it floating in the wind like a plastic bag proclaiming

"Thank You Thank You Thank You"

still damp from the saturation

of your hot breath

they'll grab it and stick it in their pocket

until they too forget about it.

So tell me, what happens to a thought when it is forgotten?
