I Found God Today.

I found God today.

For many years I have roamed

through boundless deserts,

mountains with peaks that brush against the

immense sky,

and vast seas that possess

neither beginnings nor endings.

I discarded time

and

searched.

God seemed so distant

so tantalizing

so unattainable.

Until one night,

as I sought to obtain rest,

I heard an almost

inaudible

whisper.

It was then that I realized

God was there all along

just waiting

for me

to listen.

I'm hopelessly devoted. Poetry is my outlet.
