I found this poem
I woke up one morning battered and bruised , I woke up one morning and found this poem on a white face cloth drenched in my blood and tears //
I found this poem on the fangs of my fears //
I found this poem on the knot of a nuce //
I found this poem , this poem ripped through me like a hurricane through Florida //
This poem reminded me of why I started writing in the first place , this poem was authentic she wore my hopes and dreams as jewel encrusted headband //
She had a crucifix neatly placed around her neck that screamed I ever was upto my neck in trouble I should never forget that I have a God who knew me before I was born in his womb //
I found this poem it reminded me why they called me the broken poet , metaphors , similes , pronouns, adjectives , nouns and most importantly bible verses infused into a mosaic of a shattered heart that's wrapped in grace and neatly presented to the master //
I never started this to be famous , I never wanted to be a role model , I never wanted to be featured on a magazine , but maybe this after all was my sad attempt to forever be immortalized//
But that was never it , I left who I was in the dust from the dreams that fell to the ground , I left my name with the crowd , I did this to leave glory to his name , I came a broken man to join hands with broken men , to glorify the nailed pierced son of man //
So when I found this poem it reminded me .....
My kind slayed giants
Why stop now .
