I found Poem

She was in the back of my English class

A short girl

A girl who had the beauty of the sunrise in a summer morning

She looked at me and my heart skipped stones

I felt her spirit as my waves spread out into an empty field of hopelessness

She spoke with words that gave me hope

It was a poem

I found it in the back of my English class

A very short poem

It was the world to me

The beauty in the words and rhyme

Poem was my love story

My heart skips stones

As my fingers touched the pen

The pen touched the paper and inflamed it with words

As my story resonate through my words

The flames were calmed by the wave of my heart beat

It gave me hope
