I Gave My Soul Away

I Gave My Soul Away I gave my soul away It was my darkest day. I used to blink without notice Now my eyes are glazed. Lost in a haze of locus As I try to find my ways. Six years of living rough Thinking that I had enough. Lost in a maze of pickles Looking back it now tickles.. To just how low I've been Through the glaze I've seen... The manic of my depression Panic attacks the heart with compression. The mind is a wondering child Full focus on what you want... No matter how that idea was wild... Away you just went your haunt. Through villages and towns... Searching solace ears that drown. Commonsense immensely imploded A kaleidescope of people overloaded. I lit my heart's fire with fifty pound notes.... Far too many spent on milking goats. You either come out broken or stronger as a token... I am a firm believer learning from mistakes... Most were mine to make... As I was not one to walk the lonely path.... I love nothing more than sharing a laugh. When the laughter turns to tears You realise your darkest fears... You aren't young anymore That can hit you rather sore. Having to start all over again Not known if or when? All the time the longest path I walked Without listening I just talked and talked.. Was the journey from ear to ear... Stop and listen make things clear. You can't do it all yourself.. Pleasing everyone bar yourself. All your emotions they have gone... It's a struggle just to carry on. You over exploit on things Happiness that it brings. Guilt then engulfs with flames.. All your left with is the ashes of names and scorched fingers and that smell of smoke will always linger. The Bard o Biggar
