I Get It Now
To swallow my pride is no disguise of who I really am.
The denial of my feelings, and blinding of my ego
has putrified my image to others..
To blend in was my only option to hide who I really am.
The sealing of my lips, so no secrets of me were locked
has labeled me as the awkard individual in the room..
POETRY, was my escape of this judgemental world
I've learned than my rambling tougue was not the only quality of being a girl.
POETRY, was my diary to life were I scribbled down my secrets with out saying a word.
I had the ability to flap my wings, no longer was I a caged bird.
POETRY, was my superhero story. I killed the bad guys and intimidated all the others.
My brained was so deeply analytic I had the key to the world's undiscovered.
POETRY, made me who I am and helped me figure who I was meant to be..
no more quiet, no more shy, no more slouch, no more hiding
POETRY was my escape to this jail I call SOCIETY.
