I giggle too muchMy laughter

I giggle too much

My laughter fills the room as I

stand

embarassed

At the attention I've drawn.

I've always been the "happy" one. But when the makeup wipes come out at night and the shampoo slides down my body that I've never been content with, I beg to differ.

I have lots

I mean lots

of freckles.

And pimples in places they're definitely not welcome.

Have you ever felt like a pimple?

Sticking out, annoying

No one wants you

So you put a filter on

and pretend you're okay

While the lies can dig

deeper than any filter can reach

deeper than any social media facade

deeper than the image you project of yourself

deeper

deeper

deeper

than anything you thought you could ever be.
