I Give Up

The letters on my backspace button are fading I'm hating the fake words emanating from the tips of my fingers because I caught myself trying So caught up in wanting to hear you cry as a result of my "poetic side" that I began to lie with what I brought outside from my head and I forgot that this what I love to do and no amount of money is worth a honey glazed version of the mind that I somehow chose to hide and that I'm so lucky to have I will flaunt these words no matter how absurd they may sound because they are mine one of a kind don't try and find them somewhere else Google search these sentence patches zero matches I place my soul here within these little symbols that serve as notes for our throats to sing and thoughts to ride and it is embedded much deeper than the pixels on your screen I am in love with these words and I give them to you because you are my brother my sister my father my mother You are Me and I am You and the air that we share also touches my hair when I stare up there at the sky and wonder "why?" So smile just for a while because even though I can't see you I feel you here my friend and as this piece comes to an end I find that I could care less if this poem's not the best I give up on this test
