I Give Up

You have always said and done these things I used to get angry Annoyed I don't get angry anymore But I wish I did I give up I wish I was angry I wish I could say I was mad I'm not though I'm just exhausted Tired of this These things you say What a cute little bird Wow, what a loud song it sings It isn't stopping Make it stop Fly away little bird It won't Oh my God, make it stop! Why won't it stop? Oh well I give up The only problem is that you aren't cute You aren't just a little bird You can shoo away a bird But not you Let me be I will live my life how I want I am still young Still have lots to learn Many football games to watch I have lots of people I strive to be like And others I strive to be the opposite of I give up Say what you want It's not like you can hurt me more When your compliments mean the same thing as the insults I hear the words and see the speaker But they only matter if I care enough to actually listen
