As I Go On

Black, bloody, and ignored

Drained of all essence, irrelevant

Culturally smudged out and unrecognizable

In danger? No, endangered

Screaming until you're hoarse, right into deaf ears

Called every name, mocked in every meme, it's just "jokes"

Born this way, but pray the sin away

Or ignore the thing YOU don't want to stay

Counting the hours and I'll be dead one day

Pray tell, what is this hope?

Am I allowed to pursue such an endeavor?

An act of defiance that will not cure me
