I Got the Man

You saw our picture, on Facebook. Wedding details and happ faces.

Yeah, I'm a lucky girl.

You had big dreams for him, falling in love.

You were two kids in the front yard, all insecurities and young.

You got the first kiss, I'll have the last.

I'll get his future, while you got his past.

You got the fool on drugs, I got his name and a wedding band.

You got the boy, and I got the man.

Yeah, there;s an old him that you knew.

Empty promises to get into your head.

To garages in small towns, drinking on that royal crown. Bet

you can feel your heart racing now.

Now he's all cleaned up wth a new act, nice shows, and a home.

Too bad you're just an ex and things will never change.

You got the first kiss, i'll have the last.

I'll get his future, while you got his past.

You got the fool on drugs, I got his last name and a wedding band.

You got the boy, while I have the man.

You got the first kiss and I'll have the last.

Thankfully, we each got something the other never had.

You got the hot head, I got the warm and steady heart.

You got the boy and I got the man.
