I grow

The kitten is small when its born. Its born shivering, naked, and silent. It has no voice. When its surrounded by other kittens, naked and cold like her, she will never experience change. "I don't want to be like you. We look the same but I don't want to be the same." She moves towards the sun. She travels what feels like a long way and finds the light. In it is the strength she needs and the voice she was after. "You will be like me" her mother told her, "Watch me, and you will be the lioness you were born to be." She watched, and she grew. She hunts for her cubs now. She roars her loud roar, and teaches a new set of shivering kittens to travel towards the sun.
