As I Guide You

As I Guide You… A gift you are - a gift from God Not mine to keep, only borrowed for a while As I guide you, teach you I am reminded daily of all i need to share Yet with each day that passes I fear I will fail horribly As your guide I have often chosen paths on which your feet should never tread And I fear I'll leave you scarred Blemished from the consequences of my mistakes Many things I should have done Were left by the wayside of a paved road The one paved with good intentions Which once upon is mood difficult to leave Yet God ensures someday we'll find The hidden paths he builds for us So as I fear I've failed you, I know God will fill the gaps And heal the wounds gained As i guide you… Silver Sapphire
